MWCHE LODGE – BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Important Information

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before making a booking. If anything is unclear, please contact us and we will be happy to explain further to avoid any misunderstandings.

By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

     1. Booking Contract

1.1 A binding contract between the lead booker and MWCHE Lodge is formed when a booking confirmation has been issued and the required deposit has been received.

1.2 The lead booker is responsible for ensuring that all members of the party are aware of and accept these Terms and Conditions.

1.3 We require the names of all guests staying at the property and the ages of any guests under 18 years old.

1.4 Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under 18 years of age.

1.5 The owner reserves the right to refuse any booking without providing a reason.

  1. Payments

2.1 A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total booking cost is required at the time of booking.

2.2 If the booking is made within 60 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.

2.3 The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the start of your holiday. A reminder will be sent before payment is due.

2.4 If the balance is not received by the due date, the booking will be treated as cancelled and the dates may be re-advertised.

  1. Cancellations

3.1 All cancellations must be made in writing. We will confirm receipt of your cancellation in writing.

3.2 The following cancellation charges apply:

3.3 If we successfully secure a replacement booking, we will refund the amount paid less:

  • The non-refundable 10% deposit; and
  • Any difference between the original booking value and the replacement booking value.

3.4 We strongly recommend that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation and other unforeseen circumstances.

  1. Cancellation by the Owner

4.1 If we are required to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control, we will notify you as soon as possible and refund all payments received for your holiday.

4.2 Our liability for cancellation is limited to the amount paid directly to us.

4.3 If the property must close due to government restrictions, or if you are legally unable to travel due to local or regional restrictions applying to your home address, you will receive a full refund.

  1. Occupancy and Visitors

5.1 The maximum occupancy of the property is four (4) persons plus one baby.

5.2 Only guests listed on the booking form may stay at the property.

5.3 Additional daytime visitors are permitted only with prior approval from the owner.

5.4 No additional overnight guests are permitted.

5.5 The property may only be used for holiday purposes.

5.6 The client may not re-let or sublet the property under any circumstances.

  1. Arrival and Departure

6.1 Check-in is from 4:00 pm on the day of arrival.

6.2 Check-out is by 10:00 am on the day of departure.

6.3 Failure to vacate the property by the agreed departure time may result in an additional day's rental charge.

6.4 Guests must leave the property and its contents in a clean and tidy condition upon departure.

  1. Access to the Property

7.1 We, or our representatives, reserve the right to enter the property at reasonable times to carry out essential maintenance, repairs, inspections, or in the event of an emergency.

  1. Smoking and Vaping

8.1 Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the property.

8.2 Breach of this condition may result in immediate termination of occupancy without refund.

8.3 Guests will be liable for any damage, additional cleaning costs, or losses arising from smoking or vaping within the property.

  1. Dogs and Pets

9.1 Up to two well-behaved dogs are permitted. Additional dogs may be allowed at the owner's discretion.

9.2 No other pets are permitted.

9.3 Details of all dogs must be provided at the time of booking.

9.4 Dogs should not be allowed on sofas or beds. If you wish your dog to use furniture, please contact us in advance so that suitable bedding and sofa throws can be provided.

9.5 Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs throughout the property, garden, driveway, and paddocks.

9.6 Muddy dogs should be cleaned using the outside tap and the dog towels provided.

9.7 Dogs must not be left unattended in the property unless:

  • They are secured in the utility room; or
  • They are safely housed in a crate.

Crates can be provided upon request for dogs accustomed to crate use.

9.8 We do not charge a routine pet cleaning fee. However, a £50 cleaning charge will apply if:

  • Excessive dog hair requires additional cleaning;
  • Dogs have been in bedrooms on bedding; or
  • Dogs have been on sofas without prior arrangement.

9.9 Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their dogs and will be charged accordingly.

  1. Damage, Breakages and Security Deposit

10.1 By making a booking, you accept responsibility for any theft, loss, breakage, damage, or additional cleaning costs arising from your actions, those of your guests, or your pets.

10.2 A refundable security deposit of £100 is required.

10.3 The security deposit will normally be returned within seven (7) days of departure, less any deductions for:

  • Damage;
  • Breakages;
  • Missing items; or
  • Additional cleaning costs.

10.4 Please report any damage, breakages, missing items, or maintenance issues as soon as possible during your stay.

10.5 The property will be inspected following departure. Any additional costs identified after inspection must be paid within seven (7) days of notification.

10.6 If damage causes the cancellation or refund of subsequent bookings, the owner reserves the right to recover any resulting losses from the guest responsible.

  1. Guest Responsibilities

Guests agree to:

  • Treat the property, furnishings, and facilities with reasonable care.
  • Not move furniture between rooms.
  • Not remove indoor furniture, furnishings, or bed linen from the property.
  • Remove outdoor footwear before entering the house where possible.
  • Lock all doors and close windows when leaving the property unattended.
  • Turn off lights, heating, and electrical appliances when not in use.
  • Bring their own beach towels and not remove bath towels from the property.
  • Return all keys issued at the end of their stay.

Replacement keys and locks will be charged where keys are not returned.

  1. Safety and Security

12.1 Fireworks, Chinese lanterns, fire pits, candles, and portable barbecues are strictly prohibited.

12.2 Guests must use only the designated barbecue utensils and clean the barbecue after use.

12.3 All inventory and equipment must remain at the property and must not be removed.

12.4 The owner accepts no liability for loss of or damage to guests' personal belongings.

  1. Children

13.1 Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising all members of their party under 18 years of age at all times.

  1. Parking

14.1 Parking is available for up to two vehicles.

14.2 Vehicles must be parked in the designated parking spaces and must not obstruct access to neighbouring properties.

  1. Noise and Behaviour

15.1 Please respect neighbouring properties and the local community.

15.2 Noise should be kept to a minimum, particularly between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am.

15.3 We reserve the right to terminate your stay immediately, without refund, where the behaviour of any guest or visitor is considered unreasonable or is likely to affect the comfort, enjoyment, health, or safety of others.

  1. Wi-Fi

16.1 Wi-Fi is provided for guest convenience and must only be used for lawful and reasonable purposes.

  1. Electric Vehicle Charging

17.1 Charging electric vehicles using domestic sockets or unauthorised charging equipment at the property is strictly prohibited.

17.2 Guests will be liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorised charging.

17.3 The nearest public charging points are located at Llansteffan Beach Car Park.

  1. Complaints and Problems

18.1 Any issue, concern, or complaint must be reported immediately to us or our representatives to allow us the opportunity to resolve the matter during your stay.

  1. Breach of Terms and Conditions

19.1 Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions or any house rules will constitute a breach of the rental agreement.

19.2 We reserve the right to terminate the booking immediately and without refund where guests fail to comply with these requirements.

  1. Final Statement

MWCHE Lodge is a privately owned home. We ask all guests to enjoy the facilities and treat the property with the same care and respect they would show in their own home.
